Danny Arraj
General Overview
Danny is the firm’s Managing Partner.
Danny leads our Environment and Planning group and is recognised as a leading lawyer in this area. He is a specialist advocate in the Land and Environment Court and associated jurisdictions and is currently advising in relation to a number of major projects.
He practices in areas including corporate and commercial, construction, property and infrastructure and is particularly accomplished in all aspects of local government, planning and environmental law and practice.
Although he has acted for local councils and statutory bodies in the past, Danny now acts principally for private sector developer clients. Specialising in planning appeals for developers, Danny advises on environmental issues including pollution licensing and contaminated land, structuring planning and environmental approvals and the town planning and environmental aspects of a corporate transactions.
Danny also jointly heads our International Business group.
He provides client focused and up-to-date legal advice, recognising the importance of being committed to his clients and adding value to their businesses.

Personal strengths and achievements
- Part-time lecturer in Local Government Law, and a Co-Examiner of Administrative Law within the Law Faculty of the University of Technology, Sydney.
- Published author of numerous articles and other material on Local Government Law and related subjects, as well as property transactions and procedure, appearing in publications such as Butterworths' Local Government Planning and Environment (NSW) and the Law Society Journal.
- Writing material for commercial publication on local government law and practice (and related subjects) in Local Government Planning and Environment (NSW) Service, vol. C (commentary), Sydney NSW, Butterworths, 1996.
- Local Government Lawyer, Educator and Publisher.
- Seconded overseas to advise on mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures and was involved in the due diligence of Australia's largest property acquisition.
