CHERYL ROBERTS
General Overview
Cheryl leads our Property and Infrastructure group and has extensive experience advising and acting on a whole range of property and related transactions. Her experience extends from site acquisition and development - incorporating planning and construction issues, through to the leasing and disposal of large scale residential, industrial and commercial developments.
Through her work Cheryl has garnered unique insights into the commercial drivers of large scale development and her experience extends to all aspects of retail, commercial and industrial leasing. Her understanding has developed from examining issues through a number of perspectives having acted as legal counsel for a listed corporation, for blue chip developers, and major industrial and retail landlords and tenants.
Most notably, Cheryl has substantial experience in the horse racing and breeding industry, and is available to meet the legal needs of race-horse owners, trainers and jockeys.
Relevant Experience
- Disposal of a hotel.
- Application and wind out of wholesale liquor licence for a joint venture arrangement between Coca-Cola (Amatil) and SAB Miller for the importation and sale of beer in Australia.
- Team member for Woolworths in the disposal and lease back arrangement of its distribution centres throughout Australia.
- The acquisition of a water extraction plant for Neverfail.
- Land acquisition, sales and leasing of major retail/commercial/residential tower for blue chip clients such as Multiplex.
- The site acquisition, lease, development and staged sale of several industrial and residential developments for clients such as Multiplex, Coca-Cola (Amatil) and ORIX Australia Corporation.
- Providing advice on horse racing related matters and disputes.
